Oldshed History

Old sheds have been a place of fascination since men were first banished from the house and kitchen and sent outside to cobble together a place of their own.

Mostly we are interested in what's inside and around them, but sometimes we encounter a shed or place with a special feeling and message worthy of record.

These prints are of real photos - untouched - and an accurate record of what the camera saw. A perfect lithographic match to the original photographic optical print taken from the negative.

These images grew out of the idea that a shed is a man's realm, a private place, far from being dusted, tidied or picked over, it shelters an accumulation of lovingly gathered treasures, tools, toys, machinery, vehicles, et al.
